“Name this Painting” contest

Name this painting!

This piece, done in acrylics, was inspired by a painting a friend of my created. We were talking one night at a local gallery and he suggested I do his piece in my drip style and see what happens.

I love creating abstract impressionist paintings, but have difficulty naming them because they tend to mean something different to everyone who sees them, so when I created the painting, I asked followers of Paw Print Artists to suggest titles for the painting. The winning title was “Circuit Board”.

Suggest a title for this month’s painting and get entered into a drawing for a free 18″ x 24″ art poster of the painting. You will be given a chance later in the month to vote on the names submitted. Everyone who votes will  also be entered into a drawing for a free poster, and the  person whose name is selected will also win a free poster.

Paw Print Artists: Fine Art and Pet Potraits

Gail McFarland and Jeff Danford are the Paw Print Artists. Jeff is "Paw", Gail is "Print"; They have two main passions: making art and spending time with their pets. Gail paints mostly in oils—her paintings tell a visual story intended to create an emotional connection. Jeff likes to experiment with shape, texture, and color and works in a variety of mediums including ceramics and painting. To combine their two passions, they paint custom pet portraits that capture the personality of your pet on canvas. Gail and Jeff believe in finding good homes for abandoned pets and saving them from being put to death. As a result, all four of Gail and Jeff's dogs are rescue animals and they donate 10% of their commission on every custom pet portrait to Friends for Life, a non-profit organization that finds homes for rescued dogs.
