These necklaces are made from Mzuribeads, paper beads purchased from a Ugandan based cooperative in Ndejje. The cooperative consists of 20 women who live and work in a village outside Kampala. As a team they all have a say in how often they wish to work, and how much they are paid. They believe in ethical trading and fair pay for all.

Gail McFarland and Jeff Danford are the Paw Print Artists. They have two main passions: making art and spending time with their pets. Gail paints mostly in oils—her paintings tell a visual story intended to create an emotional connection. Jeff likes to experiment with shape, texture, and color and works in a variety of mediums including ceramics and painting. To combine their two passions, they paint custom pet portraits that capture the personality of your pet on canvas. Gail and Jeff believe in finding good homes for abandoned pets and saving them from being put to death. As a result, all four of Gail and Jeff's dogs are rescue animals and they donate 10% of their commission on every custom pet portrait to Arizona Chihuahua Rescue, a non-profit organization that finds homes for rescued Chihuahuas and other dogs.
